Strategic Board; 10/20 minutes of feedback.

Reading Business Club is a networking group, run by members for the members. Therefore, every fortnight each business has a 10-minute presentation + question time. This is a 10 - 20-minute slot in the meeting which your business can use however you please.

Diary of a Businesswoman needed advice about brand direction so therefore we used our slot as a Strategic Board.

You present your issue, question, new product, idea (or anything you wish) to the club and you can gather feedback from the diverse range of business owners in the group. This helps to consider other perspectives, hear ideas you haven’t thought of and allow you to put your own biases aside to hear the experience of other business owners. Some of which may have experienced the same or similar to you.

Diary of a Businesswoman used their slot to gather the opinions of their fellow business owners on the next steps to take for the brand. There were personal details shared but that meeting will help Diary of a Businesswoman to plan the next steps using the experience and reassurance of the members. Although the information shared was of a confidential nature they felt comfortable in the knowledge that the RBC strategic board would respect that – what was said in the room stayed in the room.

Having access to business owners in a wide range of sectors brings many different things to a strategic board, lots of notes are taken and some great discussions take place. This information is usually relevant for more than the person presenting the issue, every meeting is filled with learning from each other.

Reading Business Club prides itself on being a supportive environment to any business owner at any stage of business. The Strategic Board is one example of how you can benefit from networking with the members of Reading Business Club (RBC).
